Frozen Banana Bites

I made these adorable treats for a friend who is pregnant as a healthy snack to keep around her office. Not only are these little bites packed full of good nutrients (fiber, potassium, folate, protein), but they are also absolutely delicious.  They are the perfect low-calorie snack to keep your hunger under control and you energized throughout the day!

Ingredients

  • 5 medium ripe bananas
  • 1 tbsp. organic creamy peanut butter
  • 2 oz. nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • Chocolate chips

Directions

  • Peel one banana and mash it with the peanut butter and yogurt. Set aside.
  • Peel the other four bananas. Slice into half-inch thick slices. Spread the banana, peanut butter, and yogurt mixture on half the banana slices and top with the other halves, making banana sandwiches.
  • Top with one chocolate chip (you can use a little bit of the leftover peanut butter mixture to help the chocolate chip stick)
  • Place on a baking sheet and put in freezer for at least 1 hour
