As much as I love running, I have to admit that I hate running on a treadmill. Five minutes on a treadmill can feel like an eternity!! As summer approaches though and temps begin to soar, I know my days of nice runs outside are limited. I created the below two treadmill workouts in an attempt to “spice” up a typical treadmill workout and make the machine bearable.
Research shows the most effective way to boost calories burned on a run is by including short bursts of higher intensity, so I included many high intensity sprints in both workouts. My sister did the level one workout earlier this week and I did level two last night and they are both pretty challenging! Give them a try and let me know what y’all think.
